Losing weight is tough! Everyone has different opinions and different diets. You have muscle bound men and women advising us on what to do, what not to do, and their guaranteed results programmes 😂
Well… there is a fundamental problem for us all.
We are all different!

You may be a single mother with endless cleaning and school runs.
You may get the gym at your place of work.
You may not be able to afford the gym. You may not be able to afford fridges full of fresh veg.
You may not have time to go to a gym, or a complex preventing you from having the confidence to go.
We are all different!
So what can we pretty much guarantee?
Well…. if we burn more calories in a day than we consume we should lose weight. If we consume more calories than we burn we will typically put weight on. The acceptance of this fact is a good place to start.

To help myself lose over 3 Stone (20kg) there were some things I needed. Things I knew would specifically work for me.
By sharing I hope it may work for others.
- I needed a goal, something to work towards. I was nearly 22 stone (139 kg). 13 Stone is my goal (82kg). 9 stone to lose (57kg).
- I needed to track progress, understanding progress and giving myself something to be proud of was key.
- I needed help! I can’t afford a dietician or personal trainer, but I do need help understanding my food, my calorie intake, my fat intake etc etc
- Then I needed to enjoy this! I needed to turn dieting and losing weight into an enjoyable lifestyle change.

I was lucky enough to get 4, and they all fit in my pocket!

Using my 4 pocket personal trainers, my beautiful Boardman bike and understanding the 4 things I personally needed I have managed to lose….

Now I’m not proclaiming to be an expert, nor do I think this will work for everyone, but if it just helped one other person achieve their goal I’d be happy.
Plus I’ve still got a long way to go. Hence the Pedal Healthy blog ❤️🚵♂️.
It’s going well, I’m happier and I’m proud ☺️
